Last week Santa Claus came to town and left a pile of goodies on my doorstep, including a pair of Procar Rally seats, 6-point roll cage, fiberglass hi-rise hood, fiberglass roadster door inserts, and new Gorilla fender flares. These new, indestructible flares were a bit wider than what was previously on it, so I had to do some cutting to the fenders. They look absolutely kick-ass now. The hood bolted up without a problem, and I had to use the jigsaw to cut out the fresh air vents. I still have to paint it, but it is going to look great. the seats make the biggest difference, and once you sit in them you won't want to get out. The door inserts also look cool, and can be removed in a matter of minutes, but they'll be staying on for a while. The roll cage bolts right in, but I will leave the front 2 points out until the rest of the painting is done, and so I can restore the dash board. The forward part of the cage will have to be welded, and getting around that to the dash would be a pain, so it will wait. Now that everything is installed, I'll have to remove it to finish painting, but this should give you an idea of how it is shaping up. Hopefully I can finish all that over the Labor Day holiday...I'm ready to get this thing on the road!
