Multimedia designer for the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, MS (job duties). I also work independently as a freelance artist. I perform regularly as a 1-man show (guitarist/singer) throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and am also the lead singer/guitarist for the band 12-90.

January 2002-May 2007
Instructor -I was an art instructor at Mississippi State University teaching the following classes: Design 1, Drawing I, Drawing II, Intro to Computers for Artists and Designers, Rendering for Interior Designers and Intermediate Computers for Artists and Designers.
Exhibitor in the juried 2006 Meridian Museum of Art's Bi-State Art Competition.
Free-lance artist- I do commissioned art and graphic design for Mercedes-Benz USI.
Musician- I regularly performed as a one-man singer/acoustic guitar act locally.
I instructed a senior-citizen painting evening class in the spring of 2002 and 2003 at the Vo-Tech Center in Louisville, Mississippi.

August 1998-December 2001:
I completed my Master of Fine Arts degree in Electronic Visualization (Multimedia emphasis) in December 2001. As part of my MFA thesis, I produced/directed a 35-minute documentary video on a World War 2 bomber crew titled Crew 19. Download my thesis statement movie (8MB).

Summer 1999:
Graduate Teaching Assistant- I was a TA for a painting and drawing class hosted at the Chateau du Mung near LaRochelle, France.
Free-lance artist - I established my own business as a free-lance in the summer of 1998 and produced a series of limited-edition prints that I am marketing through several magazines and galleries throughout the country. I supplement print sales by doing commissioned portrait work in pencil and oils. I was accepted into the graduate program at Mississippi State University.
Recipient of The Mississippi Arts Commission Portfolio Development Scholarship in July 1998.
December 1997 to May 1998:
Project Engineer - I was employed at Diversified Manufacturing, Inc., in Brandon, Miss. I was involved in design and assembly of task-specific tools, fixtures, molds and dies for plastic injection-molded products using PC-based AutoCad software. I was also enrolled in Intro to Computers for Artists and Designers and Contemporary Art History at Mississippi State University.
August 1997 to December 1997:
Art Instructor - I gave art and guitar lessons to 6-12 year old children at Mississippi Arts in Motion in Brandon, Miss.
October 1996 to December 1997:
Freelance Designer/Illustrator - I moved home to Pelahatchie to help my father consolidate our farm. I spent 8 months managing 5 poultry houses and free-lanced in my spare time. I spent the month of July traveling across Europe.
July 1994 to September 1996:
Professional Musician - I went on the road as a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter with the band Southfire. We played across the country for over two years which resulted in label interest from A&M Records. I also served as manager and treasurer for the band. I was responsible for all graphic designs and promotional material. We cut an eleven-song CD which was never released due to the sudden break-up of A&M in October 1996.
January 1993 to June 1994:
Graphic Design Coordinator - I was employed at Taylor Machine Works, Inc., in Louisville, Miss., a manufacturer of lifting machinery. I was responsible for the preparation of text writing and graphics work for company literature prior to publication. Much of this was done with Photoshop, lllustrator, and Pagemaker. I was introduced to AutoCad engineering software at this time. I was also involved with special projects and the organization of displays for national and international trade shows.
December 1992 :
I graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design.
1989 to 1992:
Industrial Graphics Designer - While a student, I was self-employed as a designer and painter of paint schemes, logos, and applications for a variety of aircraft, interstate trucks, vehicles, and companies. I was also employed as a line service technician with Ratliff Air Service at the Golden Triangle Airport. In 1992 I became an Associate member of the American Society of Aviation Artists.
