Crystal and Marc's Wedding page

Crystal and I headed out from Starkville on Friday, March 11, and stayed with my sister Michelle's family in Madison for a night, where they treated us to dinner at a Japanese steakhouse (very cool). We flew out of Jackson the next morning for Houston, TX, where we connected with another flight to San Jose, Costa Rica. Crystal's parents booked us a stay at one of their beautiful condos at the Los Suenos Resort, outside the town of Jaco, on the west-central Pacific coast of the country. We had a great time, and I got a chance to brush up on my rusty Spanish...Crystal gave me the grand tour of the countryside, along with her family's friend Alfonso (Fonzie, who also filled in as my best-man), and I even got the chance to do a canopy tour of the rain forest, zip-lining my way several hundred feet above the ground (not for the faint-of-heart...)

On Tuesday, March 15, we re-located a few miles to the north to the resort at Villa Caletas, where we would have our wedding on the waterfront at sunset. The view from the top of the mountain is absolutely incredible, and we were fortunate enough to have a picture-perfect, very casual wedding, with Crystal's parents, Fonzie and his girlfriend as witnesses, the photographer (Juan Carlos Montoya) and his girlfriend, and the Costa Rican lawyer with his girlfriend present. Fonzie managed to resist Mr. Daniel's offer to get hitched at the same time, killing 2 birds with one stone...maybe next time...

On Wednesday we hit the beach south of Jaco, which is a reknowned surfer paradise, and the dudes were out in full force. All in all, it was a great time, and hopefully we can make it back and show lil' Johnny what a great place it is!
